Jeramie Roberts

Hello Family, Friends and Fans of Jeramie Roberts,

This website is dedicate to sharing the life, pursuit of happiness and the football and work career of Jeramie Roberts.  This site has been a long time in the making and is now active for you to see where life's path has taken him and where it will take him in the future!

It is fall of 2012 and Jeramie is currently participating in the Baylor University football program.

As many of you know Jeramie's High School football career playing defense landed many records for his team and many wins as he pounded the oppositions offensive line and players with his size, strength, agility and speed.
He played varsity for three years at South Garland High School and ended his High School career landing him eight (8) offers from a variety of schools ranked as NCAA Division I football programs in a variety of conferences.  As a Junior and Senior he was ranked nationally in a variety of sports media outlets and 9th in the State of Texas in his defensive position when he graduated.  Scouts were amazed by his lightening speed and agility for someone his size and football recruiters from all over the nation pursued Jeramie to come and play for their team.  Jeramie chose to commit his talents to Baylor and dedicate himself to the struggling football program where he thought his abilities would have the hightest impact and offer great benefits.  He went there with great anticipation of making a difference for their struggling defense.

Jeramie's college football career at Baylor University began with a redshirt year slated and practicing as an offensive lineman wearing jersey #73.   His freshman year brought a spring slated for and practicing as an offensive lineman and when the season arrived he was slated for and playing on the defensive line where he wore the defensive jersey #99. He was excited to have the opportunity to play defense, which was his highest and best calling during his years playing High School football.
It was in this freshman year that he was hampered by an injury. Despite his injury Jeramie worked to recover and traveled to the Bowl game in Houston where he suffered a harsh disappointment and the team was brutally beaten by the opponent.  These dual disappointments plagued him as the season ended.  His Sophomore year began with a switch back to offense and back to his original jersey #73.  Jeramie practiced and worked out with the team and struggled to overcome the frustrations and great disappointments plaguing his football career at Baylor.  He traveled with the team to the Kansas game and then to the Bowl game in San Antonio where he participated and enjoyed his time there with his family and sweetheart Sara.
Jeramie's Junior year began with a fresh renewed perspective and commitment to football and has ended with a trip to San Diego and the Holiday Bowl.  As the year closed the decision to continue with the Baylor team is not yet decided.  He is eligible for one more year of play but has not seen any indicators that he will have an opportunity to shine and make an impact for his football career and the Baylor football team. His Junior year ended with him participating in the games against SMU, SFA and ULM and a few plays in games thereafter.  The year ended with few opportunities for Jeramie to play a game day role for the team.  Four years of dedication and participation has brought little opportunity to contribute at game time but despite that his love for the game is still as heart felt as it was when he started!

Those of us who know Jeramie well know he has a big heart and his life's history has proven that when his heart is dedicated to something he always finishes strong.  We are delighted to see him complete his degree this year and support his decision to stay or go when it comes to football.  He is settled with either being the course of his life ahead and there is great anticipation for the next chapter of his life!

Jeramie spent his summer of 2012 working out and getting ready for the football season while participating as an intern with the Waco Parks Department thoroughly enjoy the work and friends he made.  Friends close to Jeramie have shared that he was fully in his element working as a Park Ranger.  Jeramie now knows that his chosen career path ahead will utilize his gifts and talents for public service and sees a bright career path ahead.  Life challenges and triumphs are a journey toward maturity for him and the many of us who love him and our hearts are anxiously excited for his purpose and path ahead!

Outside of football Jeramie's pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Outdoor Recreation and is on target to graduate in August of 2013.
He is still expressing interest in his career in law enforcement and park management and will look forward to the challenges that brings.  If he stays he is excited at the opportunity to beginning his masters or a minor degree.  That decision is ahead and if he does not continue as a Baylor Bear he is excited to begin his career track that will hopefully lead him into law enforcement as a Texas Game Warden or a Park Ranger working with the Corp of Engineers.

He is currently dating his sweetheart Sara, a native of Waco and enjoys time with her and their dog Picasso, a Dalmatian mix that they adopted from a local Waco animal shelter.  Sara is a great partner for Jeramie and we are so glad that they are enjoying their time together in college! Sara is on target to graduate in May of 2013 and is planning to use and develop her gift as a writer.  We look forward to seeing her shine in her career and share her time with Jeramie.  If Jeramie stays at Baylor she has opportunities to stay and work in Waco and she is hopeful that she has those opportunities for another year to gain career experience before they leave Waco in pursuit of their careers.

We share these photos created to depict the Jeramie we know and love as his family!

The poster is our depiction of what we see in Jeramie as he has recommited to his love of football and the snow dude was a humorous depiction of him that we built during the huge snow storm that hit Dallas in 2010. Jeramie had the opportunity to come home and decided to stay in Waco to continue his work outs.  His family, neighbors and friends joyfully worked for hours to make the snow dude Jeramie's size so we could feel like he was there with us. It was a fun time shared by all who participated!

We love you Jeramie and are inspired by the incredible young man that you have been and have become and look forward to seeing where life takes you!
